Planning and Design of a Ground Floor Apartment , Gedera
Planning and designing a new garden apartment from a contractor for a couple aged 55+. Due to the children leaving home, all the spaces in the house were redesigned to precisely fit their new needs
We emphasized bringing the outside in and using natural, earthy finishing materials and colors, combined with prominent textures and a slight hint of retro style
The public space was enlarged, with significant attention given to light transitions. Lighting was integrated into the raised ceiling, combining a warm and classic atmosphere
The public space unites the kitchen with the living area. The spacious kitchen includes a dining area connected to the large kitchen island, allowing the dining area to be easily extended when hosting guests
In the living area, emphasis was placed on textures, such as the TV wall clad in wood, which integrates an iron bookshelf, the colorful fabric of the armchairs, and the accessories
The couple works from home, so it was important to design a space that would serve as a luxurious home office. The room is adjacent to the public area and features a glass wall to allow light to pass through and to create a sense of spaciousness and connection with the rest of the space
The master suite was meticulously designed with attention to every detail, incorporating storage in the walk-in closet, a makeup area, and a long dresser that serves both for storage and aesthetics.
